What Is SCIENTIFIC THINKING? What STORY does it tell?

How can we tell if the government, news media, and internet are posting good information?

These are the things I taught my Junior High School Students about The Scientific Method of Investigation:

[1] Explore in an unprejudiced way.

Japanese high school. Students study, science laboratory, holding molecular model[2] Discover Problem to work on.

[3]Hypothesize: If this happens, then maybe it’s because of …

[4] Design Controlled Experiment to shed light on, and as a possible answer to hypothesis.

[5] Generalize: Use measured data resulting from experiment to explain results.

[6] Realize that experimental results are based on the setup used (the perspective) and only statistically significant. (Oh, yes, and your GENERALIZATION is only a DESCRIPTION and not the real thing.)
